This is a debriefing video from my past Level I Fieldwork rotation at a skilled nursing facility. I hope you enjoy hearing about my experience! Here is the link. https://youtu.be/vFQKEZiPrn4
Makensie, your video was so sweet and I am so happy you had such a great experience! I also was able to participate in the evaluations during this rotation which was such an amazing opportunity for me as well! I think it was really incredible to see how far we have come. Your thorn is a really great point, and I am so glad you got to see so much of the billing at your facility! I think the management class we have coming up is going to be really helpful for all of us! I agree that I probably need to brush up on the ROM AND MMT because I remember how to screen them all, but I haven’t done the specific joints in awhile! Great job Makensie, and I can’t wait to see you in a couple weeks!
Makensie, I thoroughly enjoyed watching your reflection! I seems like you had a great time. When I was at a SNF, I had the similar experience of getting to work more hands on with patients! Something about working on self care tasks makes me love the field we have chosen to pursue. There is so much joy that helping others become independent can bring! I am also looking forward to the management class. I think the next semester's classes will help a lot of information "click" and I cannot wait to be a practicing OT! Have a great summer!
